Mrs . Asha Vernekar

A Development Professional, having vast experience working with national & International organisations such as Avert Society, Population Services International and Public Health of India in the field of HIV/AIDS. She has also received Orchid awards for her exemplary work as Best Social worker for the year 2016. Presently She is secretary of GLF working with Women SHGs and Youth across Goa through her NGO Goa Livelihoods Forum. Asha wants to help & empower those at the bottom rung of the economic ladder. Asha has been awarded by Hon Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi for the exemplary work done by GLF. She has worked for the marginalised communities of Female Sex Workers, Substance abuse, Homosexuals &Transgenders.
Poetry, Films and Environment are the extentions of the values she cherishes.
