DR. VANDANA PATANKAR (MBBS from KMC, Hubli)
Dr. Vandana patankar has worked for 35 years in Goa Govt. Health services in different capacity from Medical Officer, Health Officer at different PHCs and CHCS including Diu.
Later promoted in Directorate of Health Services Campal as State Immunization officer, CMO for Family Welfare department, Leprosy and Opthalmology. On further promotion as Deputy Director of Health Services and later as Director of Goa State Aids Control Society.
She retired in 2015 as Project Director of Goa State AIDS control society .
On retirement she took a challenge of establishing FIART Centre in Hospicio Hospital Margao.
Later she was invited by WHO, World Health Organisation, to work as Rapid Response Yeam for MR, Measles anf Rubella Vaccination at Dhule Maharashtra.
She also did a Certificate course in Palliative Medicine and Pain management at Pallium India Trivandrum Kerala and joined Dilasa Palliative Care Farmagudy Ponda since 2019
Now currently , she is attached to Dilasa Palliative Care Centre Farmagudy as Chief Medical Officer on voluntary basis.
Involved in training of Home Nurses at Sanjivan wherein she has already trained two batches.
Dr. Vandana Patankar is also Involved in social service in conducting medical camps, awareness programs through IMA, and other NGOs like Narishakti.
She has Written many short stories, poems and articles in Marathi and English of which Many are published in Local newspapers and magazines.
Dr.A.Siona Gomes
Dr. A.Siona Gomes is currently working as Dy. Director at DHS Panjim since May ’21.
Earlier she was Project Director for Goa AIDS control Society from July 2019 .
She is Alumini of Goa Medical College with MBBS and MD Radiodiagnosis (Bom).
She has Worked as Sr. Consultant Radiologist under the DHS at district and sub district hospitals for three decades along with additional charge of Medical superintendent.
In all these positions she has shown passion and zeal . She kept on improving the process for better outcomes .
ASHA ARONDEKAR
Asha Arondekar was Born in Goa. She did her schooling in Goa . Asha then moved to Pune to pursue her higher studies in Master in Clinical Biochemistry field ,wherein she was a gold medalist.
At the age of 19 , she along with 2 friends started her first entrepreneurial venture in Pune with a trading firm and later a JV leading to manufacturing
and exporting of a Pharma research product.
She then started a Pharma research company in Verna,Goa. Twelve years ago she deviated from Pharma to Wellness and got the leading wellness brand VLCC
to Goa. Ten years ago she launched her own brand of salon and spas under the brand Satva Salon & Spa, across Goa.
She has won the Business Goa Award 2016, Goan Hospitality Award for 2016 and 2017, The Goan Achievers Award 2016 and Trinity World Indian
Hospitality Award 2018., The Best of India Biz.Award ABP news 2019 and the latest one being Women Entrepreneur with a Vision Award in Dec 2021. Also she was awarded the Inspirational women of Goa 2021.
She is an active member of the GCCI Women’s committee. She Was the EC member
of GSIA Goa State Industries Association for the period 2017-2019. She was
The 1st Lady President of BNI –Aparant, Goa. She started the Orchid Awards for the Women Achievers of Goa in 2011 and have been successfully doing it
for 10 years, awarding Women Achievers which is an exclusive for the Women of Goa .
She is also the Chairperson of International Human Rights
Association (IHRA) Panjim block. A spiritual person very actively
practicing the Art of Living. She is on the advisory panel of The Goa Livelyhood Forum and The Goa Go Womania Trust. Her latest venture is Global to Local, a Goan Supermarket in Panjim Goa to support the self help group Women of Goa, a platform for authentic Goan products. This venture already made 100+ Rural Women across Goa financially independent. In Jan 2022 she was listed in the top 50 Social influencers in Goa.
Arch. Rita Mody Joshi, hails from Jamshedpur (Tatanagar), graduated from C.E.P.T Ahmedabad in the year 1985. Her exposure to International Architecture in Malaysia, held her in good stead while working at “Stein, Doshi & Bhalla in Delhi.
Her passion to teach lead her to become a ‘Visiting Faculty’ at the Goa College of Architecture. Her timeless style of Architectural design gives a zing to her projects. Clients refer her to their family and friends due to their total satisfaction in her project involvement.
With over 33 years of experience, she designs for the end-user satisfaction and not to make a statement for her personal gratification ! Designing of the high end homes is her forte, even though designing for the messes is her dream. She plans to fulfill this dream by setting up an institute named”SOMA”: School of Meaningful Architecture !
She worked on the India Habitat Center in Delhi (1987) under the guidance of Arch. Stein & Arch, Meena Mani.
In Goa, she has designed over 500 homes, over 20 hotels and factory projects and group housing. Site execution and interior-design detailing comes naturally to her. ‘Go Green’ is always her prime design specification. Creating a picture-perfect project is her pursuit professionally.
Her burning desire to encourage the young designer is tireless ! Social Services gives her immense satisfaction.
Born on 30th October 1959, she sleeps barely 4 hours daily but is never tired to Work.
